Place Making Events: Fall 2013 / Spring 2014

As part of the portfolio-wide re-positioning of Industry City by Jamestown Properties, Type A Projects was hired to conceive and execute a place making strategy to re-introduce Industry City as a hub of new, innovative workspaces. The project tapped into the burgeoning maker movements in NYC by curating well-attended makers markets, including The Factory Floor, comprising 50 local furniture makers, and Industry City/design by WantedDesign, a dynamic 10-day design forum for the local and international design community.

  • Our task was to establish an authentic connection between makers and designers in the NYC community and Industry City, leverage their brands to build awareness, and generate deep and diverse press coverage to amplify portfolio presence in the market.
