Over the past four decades, Campos Plaza II has provided 224 units of vital affordable housing to hundreds of families in Lower Manhattan. Working collaboratively with residents and NYCHA, this development team established a comprehensive rehabilitation scope for the campus that addresses immediate repair and future maintenance needs and makes life changing upgrades that revitalize residents’ units, enhance safety, and foster a stronger sense of community. The renovation will include upgrades to apartment interiors, common areas, building systems, façade, roof, and security along with landscape improvements to the campus.
The project also includes renovation of a community center operated by University Settlement and the establishment of a network of social services for residents in collaboration with Henry Street Settlement. All residential renovations will be completed with tenants in place.
